Bill Jewell - COO / FAST Head Coach  email

Bill Jewell is the Chief Operating Officer and the Head Coach of the Fullerton Aquatics Sports Team (FAST). He is a former All-American swimmer and Olympic kayaker who has coached at high school, community college and university division I levels over the past 30 years.

He was an All-American butterflyer at Long Beach State, Orange Coast College and in high school and was ranked as high as No. 11 in the world in the 100 fly during his college career. Bill graduated from Long Beach State with degrees in physical education and biology in 1969 following a three-year stint in the U.S. Navy and time devoted to Olympic training. Bill competed as a kayaker (four-man) at both the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo and the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City.

Coach Jewell led Golden West College (Huntington Beach, Calif.) to seven California State Junior College championship, fifteen states and six national records. He also spent six years as an assistant coach at USC working with top world athletes. Additionally, he was coordinating the USC Swimming Men`s Recruiting and headed stroke development. During his career, he was fortunate to coach numerous national team athletes while at USC and also at FAST. Currently Coach Bill is a Board Member of the USA Swimming Club Development Committee.

Sean Hutchison - FAST Elite Coach  email
Sean Hutchison is leading the elite program of the newly formed U.S. Olympic Committee Professional and Post Grad Training Center at the Fullerton Aquatics Sports Team (FAST). In 2008, he joined the Olympic coaching staff in Beijing where he coached two of his own swimmers who earned a total of three silver and one bronze medals. In 2009, he traveled to Rome as the head coach of the U.S. women's team at the World Championship. Under his leadership, the squad captured two gold, three silver, and four bronze medals and lowered three world records. Despite his move to FAST, Hutchison still maintains his position as CEO and Head Coach of KING Aquatic Club in Washington.
 
Hutchison is known in the swimming community for his detailed analysis and particular detail to the scientific innovation in order to develop world-class swimmers.  Working with top scientists to relate the world of fluid dynamics to optimal stroke technique and body positioning, he became a published scientist himself in 2008 on his research.  His approach to stroke mechanics makes him one of the most sought-out experts in the nation. Sean is a member of the USA Swimming Steering Committee and the Olympic International Operations Committee.

David Prodanovich - FAST Pre-Senior Coach  email

David Prodanovich swam competitively for 14 years, he began on the East Coast but mainly at Santa Barbara Swim Club under Ira Klein. Swam at the collegiate level for 2 years at Cal Ploy, SLO. Started coaching at his old team SBSC and then returned to San Luis Obispo and coached with the Seahawks for 3 years. Began coaching with FAST in 2006 as the Head Developmental Coach and has been working with the Pre-Senior groups since 2008. Has been on the SCS North American Challenge Cup Team since 2007 as well as being a coach on the 11th Pan American Maccabi Team.
David is a student at Fullerton Junior college pursuing a B.A. in Liberal Studies. He will be transferring to CSUF within the year.

Richard Caldwell - FAST Sprint Coach  email
Richard is our Assistant Senior Coach specializing in sprinting while working closely alongside FAST Head Coach, Bill Jewel.  Richard swam for FAST for 10 years under Kevin Perry prior to his departure to swim collegiately for University of California Santa Barbara on scholarship.  After UCSB Richard returned to Cerritos California where he was the Head Aquatics Coach for Gahr High School for two years.  Richard returned to FAST as part of the coaching staff in 2008 to work alongside his own former coach Kevin Perry.  Richard recently received the honor of being chosen as the SCS Pacific Coast All Star Meet’s 11-12 Boy’s Coach.  Alongside his coaching duties Richard is also a lifeguard for the Long Beach Fire Department while pursuing his BA in Fire Science.

Lauren Yee - Head Developmental Coach  email
Lauren is our Head Developmental Coach at the Janet Evans Swim Complex. She graduated from Drury University (Springfield, Mo) in 2006 with a double BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice and with a minor in Global Studies.  Lauren started swimming at the age of 9 and swam with the Industry Hills Aquatic Club for 8 years and then with Brea Aquatics for 2 years.  She was a Junior National Qualifier and competed in two Division II NCAA National Championships.
 
Lauren is in her 5th year with FAST coaching the Bronze,  Junior 1 and 2 teams at the Janet Evans Swim Complex."
